Microtex is a specially treated centrifuged natural rubber latex that behaves similarly to the single centrifuged latex but with the added advantage of having very low micro-coagulum content. This is manifested by the fact that Microtex has a filterability rate some 3 to 5 times better than the single centrifuged latex, and that its micro-coagulum content (as measured by 325 mesh coagulum level determination) is half that of normal. Such attributes are retained in the compounded versions of the latex.
